The excitement he recalls from the early days of his career is palpable, doing deals in the east for a London-based investment bank and riding the red-eye back and forth between London to Moscow; expansive times, times of opportunity for enterprising young men – times cut short by mounting tensions in Ukraine.I hope that this English translation of Miloš Starović’s, End of an Era: from the integration to the isolation of Russia will give English-speaking audiences better perspective when considering how best to navigate the treacherous waters that run between the personal and the political at times of conflict between great powers. — Charles O.
